Unlike traditional AI image generators, ProFuse is built around an active creative process. Users can not only spark their creative vision, but also guide, refine, and shape it. ProFuse runs exclusively on Apple’s Neural Engine, directly on the device. Photos, creative ideas, and generated artwork are never sent to a server, stored in the cloud, or used to train AI models. The app is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Two Paths to Art
The ProFuse app supports two ways to create. Text-to-image is ideal for starting image creation from a basic idea. Image-to-image turns an existing photo into art.
ProFuse separates the content prompt (what appears in the image) from the style prompt (how it should look). This allows users to shape scene and visual expression independently. Every image is also based on a so-called seed, a starting value that determines the specific image composition. A random seed produces a new variation of the same idea with each run. A locked seed keeps the composition found, allowing details, colors, or mood to be refined further.
More than 80 curated styles are available, ranging from oil painting to watercolor to contemporary techniques. Users can also create their own looks using custom prompts or personal reference images. They can further refine details directly on the image or rework the composition.
Availability and Pricing
ProFuse launches alongside iOS 27 on the App Store and is available as a free download. The Standard version offers unlimited image generation, more than 80 styles, and up to five custom style presets, with export at a resolution of 1 megapixel.
Upgrading to ProFuse Premium unlocks additional features. These include export at up to 4 megapixels, unlimited custom style presets, precise content and style control, and removal of the ProFuse watermark. The Premium upgrade is available by subscription or as a one-time purchase.
ProFuse requires at least an iPhone 15, or alternatively an iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or newer.
